The premier racing event of Pagosa, in the pristine San Juan Mountains, has new and improved courses for the 2016 races. Get the ultimate Pagosa Duathlon experience with more single-track for the trail enthusiasts. The Full Duathlon is a 6-mile run, 12-mile mountain bike ride and the Half Duathlon is a 3-mile run, 7-mile bike. You can ‘du’ either race as a two-member team or take them on solo. For your young athletes, we have the Mini-Du with a 1 mile run, 2 mile ride.
All participants receive an official race t-shirt, food to re-fuel and fun door prizes. Special awards for the top 3 finishers. For registration forms, race information, and course maps, visit www.ACVAP.org

Race routes integrate some beginner, but mostly intermediate levels of single-track trails, dirt and gravel roads. The venue of the San Juan National Forest could not be more perfect as athletes trek through aspen groves, grassy fields, and old logging roads. The improved courses are sure to test your endurance, speed and ability.
From Highway 160 turn onto Piedra Road (CR 600) – follow Piedra Road for 6.3 miles. Turn left (just past cattle guard) onto FS Road 629/Turkey Springs Road. Continue on FS Road 629 for 2.1 miles until reaching Monument Park Road. This junction is the start and finish line, staging and registration area.
