Sourrounded by over 3 million acres of national forest and wilderness areas, you’ll find yourself in the center of nature’s playground in Pagosa Springs.  With the San Juan Mountains and a variety of outdoor activities at your doorstep, along with hot springs, charming shops, historic sites, and an assortment of artisans, you'll find plenty to do in Pagosa.

Ice Fishing on the frozen lakes around Pagosa Country is perhaps not for everyone, but the opportunities are abundant.  Enjoy a quiet day, soaking in the amazing scenery, fishing on Williams Creek Reservoir, Echo Reservoir or other area lakes.

If Ice Fishing isn't your thing, fly fishing on the San Juan River during the winter can be enjoyable too. In the winter months, weather in Pagosa is typically snow-covered and frozen for at least a few weeks.  With this, we find as many ways as possible to have fun!
