Bugs & Brews Fly Tying Class @ PJ's Fine Bamboo Rods

PJ's Fine Bamboo Rods

Specialty Retail Shop
456 Pagosa St
Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Join us at PJ’s Fine Bamboo Rods in downtown Pagosa Springs, Colorado for a fun, relaxed evening of fly tying and craft brews. Our Bugs & Brews Fly Tying Class is the perfect way to learn the fundamentals of fly tying—or refine your skills—in a welcoming setting where fishing stories, good company, and a cold drink are always part of the experience. Whether you’re brand new to fly tying or a seasoned angler, this class is designed to help you connect more deeply with the craft of fly fishing. You’ll leave with a set of hand-tied flies, new techniques, and plenty of stories to share on the water. 6-8pm. $45.

During this hands-on class, you will:

Learn the basics of fly tying with step-by-step instruction—no experience necessary.
Use provided tools and premium materials to tie up to four flies (yours to keep).
Enjoy a relaxed, social atmosphere with Riff Raff Brewing craft beer on tap, exclusive Stranahan’s Distillery whiskey tastings, and non-alcoholic options available.
Connect with fellow anglers and share fishing stories while developing a timeless skill.
Classes are small and personal, making this a great activity for individuals, couples, or friends looking for a unique evening out in downtown Pagosa Springs.

At the end of the night, you’ll walk away with:

Up to four hand-tied flies ready to fish on your next trip
A foundation of fly tying knowledge you can continue to build on
A memorable evening of camaraderie, stories, and laughter
