Continental Divide Trail Talk @ Ski and Bow Rack
It may be cold outside, but it's never too early to gear up for summer hiking season! Come listen to Pagosa Springs locals tell their tales from the trail and watch some trail-themed films that will get you up-to-date on all things CDT. Afterward, connect with other Gateway Community volunteers and hikers to explore ways to stay engaged. Snacks and beverages will be provided. 5:45-7:30pm.

Lumberjack competition begins at 10am. Registration required. Winner takes home a Stihl 500. Prize giveaways. After Party music with A Brother's Fountain at 2pm. Benefits Rugby's Rescue House and Upper San Juan Search and Rescue.

Moonrise Cross-Country Ski Social @ Cloman Park
Members and non-members welcome for these free events under the rising moon. Bring a headlamp or flashlight for back-up but be ready to turn the lights out and enjoy this fun and unique experience! At least beginner Classic cross country skiing experience required. There will be a short hill or two, but skiers are welcome to walk on the side of the groomed trail. The group will stay together. 6pm.

Bamboo Fly Rod Building Class @ PJ's Fine Bamboo Rods
Join our bamboo fly rod building class in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and handcraft your own heirloom rod in six unforgettable days. Under the guidance of master rodsmith PJ Dufour, you'll build a custom two-piece, one-tip bamboo fly rod from premium Tonkin bamboo, customizing the grip, reel seat, and agate stripping guide. You'll leave with a fully functional fly rod, custom rod tube, hemp sock, and shop apron. March 10-15, 2026.

The Big Picture Classic is back for another amazing weekend full of competition and fellowship May 8-10th. As always Dreher Robertson will be hustling sponsorships to provide the pros with guaranteed $2,000 in added cash with hopes of being much more for payout. This event will be 3 rounds with tee times each day. Awards will follow each divisions as they finish on Sunday.

Every Thursday evening June 4th-July 23rd, the Pagosa Night Rodeo brings the community together for authentic Western competition under the lights. Riders face the challenge of bulls, broncs, barrels, and ropes, while fans experience the excitement that only a small-town Colorado rodeo can deliver. It's a weekly summer tradition filled with energy, pride, and the spirit of the Rockies.
